So I definitely figured out how to make a Friday great last week. Not only did I get to cross something off my ten year list (which is growing by the week) which is a huge plus, but instead of going to work, I decided to go to lunch with my family and then had a dinner out that night for a friends birthday.
What a way to spend a Friday! I mean yes, I was completely buggered when I eventually got home at 12 that night, but it was totally worth it. Way too much wine (of course) and totally awesome awesome tapas courtesy of the Culture Club in Hazelwood. Yum yum!
Then it was home for a quick change of clothes (I wanted to be warmer and more comfy) before heading off to A’La Turka for dinner. I’ve been before and the food has always been awesome, but it was particularly cool to go on a Friday night since they had live belly dancers. It was completely hilarious to watch my very shy boyfriend get wrapped in a chiffon scarf by one of the dancers. I think he was the reddest I’ve ever seen him and wasn’t sure exactly where to look.
I absolutely love my new hair. I mean, I have shaved my head once and that was a real shock, going from relatively long to no hair whatsoever but going from short hair to extremely long was really something else. I’ve always wanted long blonde, curly hair, but that just never worked out for me; so hair extensions was my only option. I went to a friend from High School (who I trust) and she did such an amazing job. People keep telling me that I have fairy tale hair, so I’m thinking that is a good thing 🙂 At least it is one more thing I can cross off my list and if I really take care of my hair they will last me a good two years. I’m holding thumbs!
